tie dyed paper towels

This is such a fun craft!  No two pieces of art are ever the same!

Materials:

  • Heavy duty paper towels (don't skim on the heavy duty part because the art will disintergrate)
  • watercolor paints
  • water
  • string

Directions:

Fold, twist and tie the paper towel.  You can do a spiral twist and tie, or just rumple it up.  Anyway you do it will make a terrific design.

Soak the paper towel in water.  Wring out gently.

Dip the paper towel into the water colors.

Let dry and cut the tied string off.  Enjoy the beautiful colors!

NOTE:  This can be done using white coffee filters as well.
