Kool-aid play dough

Here is another recipe for homemade play dough.  This one smells really good, too!  Store in closed container.

  • 2 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of salt
  • 2 packages of dry, unsweetened drink mix (like Kool-aid)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 3 TBS of oil

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl (glass or metal as the drink mix can stain).  Mix the liquids together and pour them over the dry items.  Stir the mix until it forms a ball (may take a bit-keep stirring).  As the mixture cools, it becomes less sticky.  After it has cooled, take it out of the bowl and knead it until it's smooth.
